FAQ

Where Are Envirocolor Products Soured From?

Envirocolor products are sourced from the USA and stocked here in New Zealand.

Will EnviroColor Harm My Plants?

No. EnviroColor's water-based formula is completely safe and free from harsh chemicals that could damage your plants, trees or shrubs. By simply spraying your existing plants with fresh water prior to applying EnviroColor you'll be certain the color only adheres to surfaces you want to have rich, long lasting colour.

Is EnviroColor Paint?

The short answer is no. EnviroColor is completely natural and contains no paint whatsoever. Our proprietary blends of Carbon and Iron Oxide are what provide long lasting colours that help protect your existing or new mulch, or grass. No other product on the market has our special blend of all-natural ingredients that allows EnviroColor to out-last and out perform any other product.

Is EnviroColor Safe For My Pets?

Yes. EnviroColor has no harmful ingredients to pets or any other wildlife.

How Does EnviroColor Work?

All natural iron oxide and carbon solutions envelope your mulch forming a barrier of long lasting protection from the damaging effects of UV light from the sun and shields against damage from rain and other environmental hazards that destroy the colour of your mulch.

How Do I Prepare My Existing Mulch For EnviroColor?

Preparing your mulch for EnviroColor is a matter of simply clearing the area of any debris that doesn't belong such as sticks and leaves. EnviroColor works very well with existing mulch however you'll need to be certain that you have an existing base of material before you start. We recommend at least a 2 inch depth of mulch.

What Type of Sprayer Works Best?

Our concentrates are specifically designed to be used in pump or gas powered type sprayers. We recommend using sprayers with a fan tip to ensure an even and controllable application.  Also, ensure you wear gloves to protect from staining.

How Do I Protect My Driveway, Walkways and Other Elements From Staining?

EnviroColor only adheres to dry, solid surfaces. In order to prevent unwanted colour adhesion simply spray driveways, walkways, down spouts, statues, masonry, fences and any other surface you want to remain free of colour with water prior to applying EnviroColor. Any overspray can then be easily rinsed without unwanted colour adhesion.

Is EnviroColor Safe For The Environment?

Yes.

Colour is non-toxic, nonflammable and water-based. There is nothing in our products that are harmful to the environment in any way. In fact, by using EnviroColor instead of replacing faded mulch you'll be saving precious natural resources used in the production and transporting of mulch products which is something to feel good about.

Do I Still Water My Lawn After Applying EnviroColor Grass Paint?

Yes. When grass has gone dormant due to climate changes, disease, or lack of water it remains alive. Watering your lawn once to twice a week for short periods of time will ensure that the root systems have enough water to remain alive until conditions improve and your grass regains its natural green color.

Is EnviroColor Really Better Than Other Products?

Without a doubt. In order to stay ahead of the curve we've tested every other brand of mulch dye and grass paint available on the market. Biases aside, many products claim to achieve the same results that EnviroColor does yet that simply isn't the case. Many in the industry have taken advantage of recent demand and have rushed products to market that are inferior. Envirocolor have been in this business a long time, have countless satisfied customers around the globe and have more experience than any other manufacturer in the industry. If you have any comments or concerns about our product or another product please let us know.
